On 25 July Moray celebrated the 20th Anniversary of the formation of the Be Active Life Long (BALL) groups with a big party at Hopeman Gala. Representatives from all the 17 BALL groups across Moray enjoyed a wonderful day of fun and friendship. Pictured with the Lord Lieutenant is Betty Slater, 94, one of the earliest members of the Hopeman BALL group, the first group to be founded in Moray. The BALL groups are friendly teams of older people who enjoy gentle exercise, hosting activities, speakers, outings and the chance for regular get-togethers with coffee and a chat. They are an inspirational group and huge thanks goes to the Community Wellbeing and Development Team in Moray Council who support the BALL initiative, which is only to be found in Moray.
