The King’s Awards for Voluntary Service
Celebrating the outstanding work of local volunteer groups across the UK.
The Kings’s Award for Voluntary Service (formerly known as The Queen’s Golden Jubilee Award) is given for outstanding achievement by groups of volunteers who:-
- regularly devote their time to helping others in the community
- improve the quality of life and opportunity for others
- provide an outstanding service
It is generally considered to be the ‘MBE’ for voluntary groups.
Nominations are made online at www.gov.uk/kings-award-for-voluntary-service
Advice may be obtained from the Lieutenancy. Support from the Lord-Lieutenant for a nomination will be important.
