The King’s Award for Enterprise

The King’s Award for Enterprise is an honour which recognises outstanding UK companies and encourages the development of British business.

There are two types of award-for businesses and for individuals. Awards are made annually in three different categories and are designed to recognise businesses that have made outstanding contributions to Britain’s wellbeing.

  • international trade
  • innovation
  • sustainable development

The King’s Award for Enterprise Promotion are intended to recognise individuals who make outstanding contributions to enterprise culture in the UK.

The Awards are announced each year on 6 May each year. The Lord-Lieutenant will present awards to the recipients, usually at a ceremony held on the company’s premises.

Winners receive a range of benefits including worldwide recognition and extensive press coverage. The King also invites winners to a reception at Buckingham Palace.

The Lieutenancy encourages businesses and individuals in Moray to apply. Companies need to complete an application form which can be obtained online at www.gov.uk/queens-awards-for-enterprise
