On 6 March HRH The Duke of Gloucester visited Moray in broad sunshine. HRH started his day at the Early Years STEM Centre in Elgin, a project within the Moray Growth Deal, which aims to stimulate young people’s interest in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths. Children from Bishopmill Primary School and VIP Childcare certainly enjoyed their interactions with HRH and the learning displays. HRH also visited 39 Regt at Kinloss Barracks where he learned about the Regt’s activities, presented medals and wished them every success on their forthcoming UN deployment to Cyprus. HRH finished his visit at Pluscarden Abbey where he enjoyed a guided tour of the Abbey and met the Community of Benedictine monks.
