Freedom of Morayvia for recently retired Lord Lieutenant Maj Gen Seymour Monro

Maj Gen Seymour Monro, Moray’s recently retired Lord Lieutenant, was presented with the Freedom of Morayvia at a moving ceremony at Morayvia museum on Thursday 5 June. Maj Gen Seymour Monro was also honoured by having his name placed on an Army ‘Skeeter’ helicopter in the museum’s collection. At the same ceremony, Air Cdre Monkman, Lord Lieutenant of Moray presented Chris Bodiam with a gift from Morayvia in recognition of his outstanding service in Search and Rescue operations over many years for both the Royal Air Force and the Coastguard.
