Local Lossiemouth couple celebrate their Diamond Wedding Anniversary today 5th April.
Raymond and Etta first met at a Masonic Dance in Elgin where Raymond’s dancing skills caught Etta’s eye but shortly after this Raymond was posted to Cyprus on National Service.
Their romance blossomed through writing letters to each other every day and they still have those love letters to this very day.
Raymond and Etta have a son Paul and daughter Joanne , two grandchildren and two great grandchildren who are all a great source of pride and joy to them.
Depute Lieutenant Joan Cowe and her husband John Cowe , Heldon & Laich Councillor presented the happy couple with cards and flowers on behalf of The Lord Lieutenant of Moray, Major General Seymour Monro CBE LVO and The Moray Council.
They will be toasting their milestone Anniversary with a glass of Champagne .
