Princess Anne has been pictured on a visit to Moray, during which she opened a new Coastguard centre at the King’s former school.
The Princess Royal was at Gordonstoun School and unveiled a plaque, before visiting Forres and Nairn Riding for the Disabled in the afternoon.
Gordonstoun’s principal teacher Peter Green described the facility as “wonderful” and said it will “allow students to support HM Coastguard during search and rescue incidents”.
There are currently 21 senior Gordonstoun students – 11 active and 10 training – supporting HM Coastguard.

As well as officially opening the Coastguard centre, Princess Anne toured the facility – meeting pupils from the school – who greeted her with an array of Saltires and Union flags.
Afterwards, the Princess Royal met hard-working volunteers at Forres and Nairn Riding for the Disabled.
